How to Apply

1. Download the 'Visa Application Form' and 'Curriculum Vitae' from the Japanese Embassy website.

2. Prepare a detailed 'One-year Schedule' in Japan, describing planned activities and travel.

3. Submit all documents in person at the Japanese Consulate or Embassy nearest to your residence.

4. Collect your visa â€” processing typically takes 5â€“10 business days after submission.

Common Pitfalls & Expert Advice

Vague or unrealistic travel itineraries (too much emphasis on work rather than cultural exchange). Bank statements must bear an official bank stamp or authentication. Handwritten application forms with corrections are rejected â€” use a printed or typed form.
